Public Health and Environment Section
Manages solid waste, including garbage collection and disposal. Conducts dengue eradication programs and controls infectious diseases. Inspects restaurants, groceries, and markets under the supervision of Public Health Inspectors (PHIs). Provides gully bowser (sewage clearance) services.

The Administrative Section is responsible for the overall management, human resources, and coordination of municipal functions. It ensures that the Council’s operations align with the Municipal Councils Ordinance and provides essential support services to the public and other departments.

Collects property rates (assessment taxes), acre taxes, and other local taxes. Issues and renews trade licenses for local businesses. Prepares the annual budget of the Pradeshiya Sabha and maintains all financial accounts.
